New Employees


Responding to our expanding U.S. market presence, staff numbers at Vestdavit Inc. continue to grow, and we were delighted to welcome Paul Basta as Service Technician, who joined our After Sales team in June 2019, Based in Edmonds, WA, 15 miles north of Seattle. Paul’s appointment reflects our expanding U.S. market presence, in support of quicker response times for inspections, installations and service calls on our davits.

He brings considerable experience as a field technician to Vestdavit, including a number of years servicing hydraulic and electric launch and recovery systems on behalf of Oceaneering. Following a thorough course of training covering Vestdavit service practices, Paul is already working on ships around the country servicing our davit systems.

Magnus Hopland has joined Vestdavit as a Service Engineer, as part of our growing After Sales operation. Highly experienced in working independently in the field in direct contact with customers Magnus worked for seven years in the Hydropower sector, where he provided service engineering for large power transformers, processing plant and silicon production. He holds Apprenticeship Certification as an Industrial Mechanic, augmented by two years of further education at technical college specializing in mechanics.

Camilla Magnussen has been appointed as Vestdavit Sales Coordinator, working within the sales department’s administration providing in-house support and assistance to the sales team . Qualified in administration and marketing, Camilla brings with her strong experience, having spent four years with OneSubsea and four years with NextGenTel in similar roles.

Jarle Hovland has joined Vestdavit’s Technical Department as a Project Engineer. With a BSC in Marine Engineering secured from Bergen University College, Jarle has previous experience in design with Kongshavn Industri and as a maintenance coordinator at Esso Norway’s Bergen terminal.
