Vestdavit is supplying a series of systems for the Norwegian Coast Guard’s new class of polar patrol vessels under construction at the Vard Langsten yard in Norway.

Each vessel will be equipped with three specially designed boat launch-and-recovery systems from Vestdavit – one TDB-10000L and two PLR-5003KVs. Both systems are of a bespoke design and will fulfil the Coast Guard’s requirement for 330-days-a-year availability in conditions up to an upper Sea State 5 and in temperatures of -25°C.

Additionally, Vestdavit is designing and supplying a wagon-based boat-transfer system that is based upon the patented Mission Ease concept and will handle two boats. Painter booms are also included in the scope of supply.
